Brief info
Jennifer Hughes started off life living in the San Fernando Valley in the Los Feliz area. My family moved to the desert in 1983 and I grew up here for most part. I graduated from Palm Springs high in 1989. I am a mother of 3 and grandmother of 5. In 1994, I had a hiking accident in Tahquitz Canyon and left me as a paraplegic from the waist up. I continued to work full time and put myself through school which took me longer than most since I was raising my children as a single mother. I am a certified Paralegal with my bachelors degree in legal studies. My love and passion to help people lead me to transfer my studies to Cal State University San Bernardino and graduated with my masters in Social work. I have been a contracted paralegal for over 25 years in several fields of law including criminal, family, estate planning, probate and business law. I have been an LDA to the public for over 16 years bringing equality into the legal system for those who can not afford an attorney. Growing up in a diverse community and working with clients over the years from all walks of life, I’ve witnessed the legal gaps, giving me the drive to work hard for those who lack the means to afford an attorney. I live with my two fur babies. I am part of the LGBTQ community and am very involved in the fight for equality for all.
